Job Title: Technical Writer- Exp 4-6 years
Job Summary : As a Techincal Writer you will help to create to create comprehensive documentation for our Applications which are Web and Desktop based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear and concise documentation for various audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Creation:
Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our web application, including user guides, technical specifications, API documentation, release notes, and other supporting materials.
Content Maintenance:
Ensure documentation is up-to-date with the latest product features, enhancements, and changes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, designers, and customer support to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
User Experience:
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure documentation is aligned with the overall user experience and interface design.
Accessibility:
Ensure documentation complies with accessibility standards and is accessible to users with disabilities.
Quality Assurance:
Review and edit documentation for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
User Feedback:
Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve documentation quality and usability.
Training Support:
Assist in the development of training materials and resources for internal teams and end-users.
Knowledge Management :
Contribute to the organization's knowledge base by documenting best practices, troubleshooting tips, and common user questions.
Adherence to Style Guidelines :
Maintain consistency and adherence to company style guidelines, branding, and tone of voice across all documentation.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in the software industry.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
Experience with documentation tools such as Oxygen,X-Metal
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
