Job Description Summary:

The People Operations Partner is pivotal in supporting the Global People Services function, acting as an employee champion and change agent. This role focuses on supporting local HR needs in India and APAC region, global process improvement, automation, and enhancing employee self-service through technology. This role is a key partner in leading global People Services projects, driving operational excellence and scalability across the People Operations function, supporting annual organizational processes, and handling complex inquiries from employees, managers, and other stakeholders.

Job Overview:

The People Operations Partner is pivotal in supporting the Global People Services function, acting as an employee champion and change agent. This role focuses on supporting local HR needs in India and APAC region, global process improvement, automation, and enhancing employee self-service through technology. This role is a key partner in leading global People Services projects, driving operational excellence and scalability across the People Operations function, supporting annual organizational processes, and handling complex inquiries from employees, managers, and other stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Complex HR Support:

  • Address and resolve complex People-related inquiries related to benefits, payroll, Workday, local compliance, and employee relations through the global people services helpdesk (Jira).

  • Provide expert guidance on People policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and accurate information is communicated to employees, management, and regional People Operations Partners.

  • Execute and oversee all aspects of employee lifecycle events within assigned geographies including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, and status changes.

  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of employee data in Workday and other People systems. Manage and ensure maintenance of digital employee files.

  • Facilitate the business travel requirements of APAC employees, including visa invitation letters, travel invitations, etc.

  • Liaison with stakeholders as necessary to provide required documents and evidence for global audits (SOC, ISO, etc.). Ensure compliance with established audit processes to maintain global compliance footprint.

  • Act as a key partner and driver of annual organization processes, including performance evaluation, merit cycle, annual surveys, and more

Process Improvement and Automation:

  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and automation strategies to enhance efficiency across global People Operations.

  • Develop, lead, and drive initiatives to improve employee self-service capabilities and leverage technology to streamline People processes.

  • Apply a global perspective to People processes, ensuring alignment with best practices while adapting to regional needs.

Local HR Compliance & Support for APAC Region:

  • Ensure adherence to local HR compliance requirements and best practices in India, staying up-to-date with regulatory changes.

  • Provide support and advice on local People-related issues, ensuring all People practices are compliant with Indian labor laws and company policies.

  • Support People-related needs and initiatives for the APAC region, collaborating with regional teams to address specific HR requirements and challenges, including employee relations issues

Other Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and implementation of smaller People projects, change management efforts and corporate initiatives into the business, under guidance from People Operations Manager and in collaboration with key stakeholders

  • Act as a mentor to Associate People Operations Partners and junior team members

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an HR role with a focus on compliance, business partnership, and operations, ideally in an international context

  • Ability to influence managers and senior level leaders within the organization on significant People matters

  • Deep understanding of HR compliance and best practices in India. Experience supporting HR functions in the other APAC regions a plus.

  • Proven experience working with Workday or similar HRIS systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement automation solutions.

  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities, with a focus on project management

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer-centric approach.

  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration or related field.

Travel Requirements:

<5% Minimal, infrequent travel
