Available Title(s): 158-NNFACULTY - Teaching Assistant Professor - Career, 159-NNFACULTY - Teaching Associate Professor - Career, 396-NN_FACULTY - New Teaching Track - Pre-Academic Year Business Title: Teaching Assistant or Associate Professor - Career Track Employee Type: Faculty (+) (Fixed Term) Position Term: 9 Month - Summer Position Details: The Opportunity: The Department of Anthropology at Washington State University (WSU) invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor (Career Track, Teaching Sub-Track), Career track faculty position in Pullman, WA, with a specialty in teaching undergraduate courses in cultural and general four-field anthropology. This position is a fixed-term, nine-month, three-year appointment with possibility of renewal. We seek applicants who are committed to offering high-quality anthropology courses to our majors and to students from across the university. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will begin the appointment on August 16, 2025. Job duties: Our new colleague will teach four courses each semester and engage in service to the unit and institution. Courses are taught in-person on the Pullman campus, with the potential of teaching a course or courses via WSU's Global campus. The workload for this position is 80% teaching and 20% service. Additional Information: Required Qualifications for All Candidates: • Completed Ph.D. in anthropology or an appropriate, related discipline by the beginning of the appointment. • Demonstrated record of or potential for commitment to equitable and inclusive educational experiences as in alignment with WSU's land grant mission. Additional Required Qualifications for Candidates for Assistant Professor Rank: • Demonstrated record of or potential to successfully teach and mentor students at the undergraduate level.
