Available Title(s): 107N-YNCSNPS - Program Coordinator Business Title: Program Coordinator Employee Type: Classified Position Details: Summary of Duties: This position serves as a point of contact for Transfer Center inquiries, providing accurate, timely, and relevant information to students, advisors, and external constituents in the form of emails, phone calls, and in-person/virtual appointments. Assist in facilitating the day-to-day operations of the Transfer Center and perform specialized technical/clerical duties in support of programs and initiatives. Under general supervision, this position performs work requiring knowledge and experience specific to transfer initiatives and activities at WSU. Assist with transfer-related communication and overall Transfer Center functions and services. This position will also work with New Coug Orientation, a unit of New Student Enrollment. Required Qualifications: • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience. • Strong organization, written, and oral communication skills • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail • A motivated work style and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of internal and external constituents • Demonstrated ability to effectively and respectfully interact with students, faculty, and staff of diverse and varied social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds • Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience working with transfer students or transfer-related initiatives • Demonstrated experience and commitment to student success and retention • Experience working with faculty, staff, alumni, volunteers, or other constituent groups • Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours Additional Information: This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,477 to $4,632 | Range 40 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=357-28. In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
