Available Title(s): 107N-YNCSNPS - Program Coordinator Business Title: Program Coordinator Employee Type: Classified Position Details: The Opportunity: The Advising Systems Specialist supports the Carson Center academic advising team by providing administrative and technical assistance. Responsibilities include administrative processes such as admissions and registration, running reports, assisting with graduation clearing, updating academic records, responding to academic inquiries, assisting with academic intervention communications, and supporting advising services. Required Qualifications: • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience. • Understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, university admissions and academic requirements and processes. • Demonstrated experience with projects/tasks requiring strong attention to detail. • Demonstrated strength in organizing and implementing complicated processes. • Demonstrated experience juggling multiple project and meeting deadlines. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience writing professional business correspondence and explaining complex regulations and processes in an understandable way. • Demonstrated strong technical skills (i.e. Excel, Web Forms). Preferred Qualifications: • Experience using and working within student records systems (i.e. myWSU, Banner, PeopleSoft). • Experience following and carrying out complex processes or regulations. Additional Information: This is a full (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,477 to $4,632 | Range 40 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=357-28. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
