Professional Position Details: The Opportunity: Oversee and provide a wide range of administrative support to the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVCP)/Dean of Students Associate and Assistant Dean of Students. direct reports. Serve as the liaison for both internal and external constituents concerning matters and issues pertaining to a variety of Student Affairs departments reporting to the AV/Dean of Students, on complex, sensitive and confidential situations. Represent the AVCP/Dean in positions requiring a high degree of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality. Manage the day-to-day office support for the Office of the Dean of Students. Maintain financial, personnel, and payroll records for all reporting departments This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications: • A Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible management work experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. • Computer software skills, including the ability to use office software, such as databases, spreadsheets, word processing. • Demonstrated working knowledge of policies and procedures in a complex academic institution or similar complex organization. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and occasional weekends. Experience in handling personnel administration. Preferred Qualifications: • Professional work experience in a higher education environment.
