Available Title(s): 565J-YNCSNPS - Farmer 2 Business Title: Farmer 2-Large Animal Veterinary Teaching Hospital Employee Type: Classified Position Details: Summary of Duties: Perform a variety of assignments in the care of large animal species and facilities within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Work schedule, 11:00am-8:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Required Qualifications: • Two years of experience in farm work or maintaining livestock; OR equivalent education/experience. • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with https://policies.wsu.edu/prf/index/manuals/safety-policies-procedures-manual/sppm-7-10/ and departmental driving standards. • Must be able to work Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-8pm. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with and caring for equine, bovine, ovine, and caprine species. • Experience with following biosecurity protocols. • Experience hauling large animals. • Experience using farm equipment including trucks, manure compactor, skid steer front-end loader, tractor, gator, animal dump truck, and sweeper equipment. • Experience in general maintenance and repair.
