Professional Position Details: The Opportunity: In this role, you will serve as a confidential Assistant to the Assistant Vice President for Budget and Planning. You will act on their behalf as directed and be the primary point of contact for both internal and external constituencies. Your responsibilities will include directing, administering, and coordinating internal operational activities in accordance with the policies, goals, and objectives established by the Assistant Vice President and the University. You will independently coordinate, oversee, and perform a wide variety of administrative support activities on behalf of the Assistant Vice President. Additionally, you will manage the overall administrative and clerical operations of the Budget Office. You will also serve as a liaison between the Assistant Vice President, Executive Vice President for Finance & Administration, Budget Office staff, and all other WSU offices. Required Qualifications: • Positions require a Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant field AND five (5) years of managing administrative support experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and thoroughness. • Demonstrated record of responsible administrative support background. • Experience in maintaining a high level of confidentiality. • Experience maintaining SharePoint sites, both content and security. • Experience maintaining web pages. Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines. • Experience in higher education. • Previous experience at Washington State University, including experience with WSU policies and procedures. Additional Information: This is a part time (50% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. This position is located on the WSU Pullman Campus. Monthly Salary: $2,254.35 - $3,099.50 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
