The Opportunity:

 

As a vital member of our recruitment team, you will play a key role in helping Washington State University (WSU) achieve its enrollment goals by recruiting students from your assigned region. You will collaborate with the Associate Director and Director to plan and implement a strategic recruitment plan. Your responsibilities will include coordinating recruitment efforts with other regional counselors, college recruiters, alumni, and Multicultural Student Services. You will organize special events such as information nights and other activities as assigned by the Associate Director. You will participate in high school fairs, community college tours, national fairs, career nights, and community college pre-advising. You will establish and maintain relationships with high school and community college counselors, teachers, other school administrators, local alumni, and the community. Your efforts will be coordinated with schools to meet targeted recruitment goals. If you are passionate about student recruitment and enjoy building relationships, this position is perfect for you! Other duties will be assigned by the Associate Director as needed.

Required Qualifications:

 

• Positions require a Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year of experience directly related to student services. A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

 

• Understanding of and a commitment to inclusion, access and diversity.

 

• Excellent presentation abilities, oral and written communication skills.

 

• Demonstrated ability in program planning.

 

• Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

 

• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with https://policies.wsu.edu/prf/index/manuals/safety-policies-procedures-manual/sppm-7-10/ and departmental driving standards.

 

• Willing and able to travel and work some weekends/evenings.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Master's degree.

 

• Experience working in education.

 

• Knowledge of student recruitment, college admissions, and WSU.

 

• Experience in Slate or other CRM technology.

 

Additional Information:

 

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

 

Monthly Salary:

 

$4,050.92 - $5,829.37 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications

 

In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
