Purpose of Position: The Production Control Clerk is responsible for creating, modifying, and closing work orders in order to maintain the integrity of the work order system data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives, verifies and prioritizes work order requests.
Creates work orders, modifies existing ones.
Creates a simulation of orders to determine if inventory levels are being maintained and Reviews previous job orders to determine optimum running sizes and order quantities
Accurately input, compile, and modify data for work orders to maintain the integrity of the work order system data.
Monitors actual inventory of parts in stock and produces shortage reports based on parts needed for work orders.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Clerical Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files, and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Ability to use computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, work-processing, e-mail, and database software.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Experienced in manipulating Inventory Control Software.
Ability to read engineering prints/drawings
