The Role:

Join Vivint’s Customer Marketing team to help enhance customer experiences, boost engagement, and increase lifetime value. As the Marketing Operations Manager, you will lead and grow the marketing automation team, driving innovation across our processes. This role is key to refining automation workflows, ensuring smooth customer journey maintenance, improving data architecture, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute marketing campaigns. We're seeking a candidate with a deep passion for marketing, strong expertise in automation platforms, and a drive for optimizing processes, data analysis, and campaign execution while promoting team performance and technological innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire end-to-end marketing automation workflow, including strategic planning, audience targeting, personalization, and post-campaign analysis.

  • Ensure the integrity of customer journeys and campaigns, maintaining data cleanliness and leading the QA and regular auditing process for optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with teams to leverage customer data, ensuring effective usage in campaigns, improve data architecture for flexibility to reach and speak to our customers and reporting actionable insights.

  • Perform segmentation using SQL, CDP integration and other tools, working closely with the marketing team to achieve goals.

  • Execute A/B testing and ensure effective communication with stakeholders for campaign optimization.

  • Manage the creation of broadcast emails, coordinating content and segmentation strategies.

  • Build emails ensuring optimal email client and device responsive behavior. QA testing to ensure personalization and link tracking in place.

  • Keep up with trends in email, SMS marketing, and accessibility best practices to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

  • Develop marketing automation strategies that align with business goals, documenting processes and outcomes.

  • Ensure customer data compliance, accurate email preferences, and write-back systems.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with data teams and other departments to align campaigns with strategic objectives.

  • Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide detailed reports on email, SMS, and campaign KPIs to leadership, ensuring data-driven decisions.

  • Oversee marketing automation advancements, supporting team development and the scalability of automation solutions.

  • Lead initiatives to streamline communication, reduce errors, and enhance customer experience.

  • Support for Mobile & Web Marketing: Assist the mobile marketing team with technology integrations for in-app and web content.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • 40%: Marketing automation journey creation, maintenance, and optimization.

  • 30%: Strategy and planning.

  • 20%: SQL and other data comparison and research work.

  • 10%: Data analysis and reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Hubspot or other marketing automation platforms.

  • Strong digital marketing knowledge and effective communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in leveraging customer data and improving data architecture to optimize campaign performance and reporting actionable insights.

  • Advanced skills in segmentation using SQL, CDP integration, and related tools to support targeted marketing efforts.

  • Expertise in executing A/B tests and optimizing campaigns based on data insights, with strong stakeholder communication for campaign adjustments.

  • Leadership in driving initiatives to streamline communications, reduce errors, and enhance the customer experience.

  • Highly analytical and technical and comfortable with finding insights to steer channel strategies.

  • An innate curiosity and ability to break down complex analyses into concise, straightforward recommendations and marketing initiatives

  • A ‘customer-centric’ mentality and experience driving audience-based initiatives.

  • A collaborative, ‘team-first’ attitude.

  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple work streams.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years in marketing technology and operations.

  • 3+ years of technical expertise in marketing automation tools.

  • 4+ years across various digital/commerce technologies and platforms.

  • Experience with some SQL, HTML, CSS, and CRM systems.

  • Experience working for/with the direct-to-consumer division of an omni-channel retailer

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized 4-year college or university.
