Where The Heart Is, Inc. Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in Prospect, Connecticut
Personal Care Assistant, also called caregivers, are limited to providing Non-medical at home services, including companionship, cleaning, cooking and driving. Personal Care Assistant duties typically include:
- Provide assistance with daily activities, including personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals and snacks according to dietary requirements.
- Perform housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, washing dishes and vacuuming.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and provide transportation as needed.
- Assist with errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions.
- Assist with medication reminders.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor client health and safety, and report any changes to appropriate parties.
