Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chiller Technician to join our team in the Greater Tidewater, VA area. As a Chiller Technician, you will focus on servicing and maintaining chillers, but you will also be responsible for servicing other commercial HVAC/R systems. Your expertise in chiller systems and comprehensive knowledge of other HVAC/R equipment will be crucial in ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of various types of chiller systems.
Service and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC/R systems, including split systems, rooftop units, and refrigeration equipment (not rack/supermarket refrigeration).
Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot complex issues related to chillers and other HVAC/R systems.
Utilize diagnostic tools, meters, and gauges to analyze system performance and identify root causes of problems.
Develop effective solutions to resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations.
Communicate findings and recommended solutions to customers in a clear and concise manner, addressing their concerns and answering any questions they may have.
Completes necessary paperwork with company issued laptop/tablet and communicates clearly with customers and teammates.
Foster positive relationships with customers by delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school or certification in HVAC/R preferred
Proven experience as a Chiller Technician, with expertise in maintaining and repairing various chiller systems.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC/R systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex HVAC/R system issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Outstanding customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers effectively.
EPA/CFC certification.
Basic computer skills.
Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Must pass a drug screen and complete a satisfactory background check.
