Position Summary

Join Energizer's specialty battery manufacturing facility in Portage, Wisconsin.

As a Production Worker in the facility, your primary function will be to safely operate equipment in an automated, fast paced and climate-controlled environment. We are currently adding positions on 3rd shift.

The starting hourly rate is $19.13 per hour advancing to $23.91 per hour after 6 months. 3rd shift also receives a $1.00 per hour shift premium. Monthly and quarterly attendance incentive programs are in place. Vacation is available during the 1st year of employment.

Typical hours are 11pm - 7am with the week beginning on Sunday night.

Responsibilities

  • Operate high speed or specialized production equipment.

  • Changeover/set-up equipment as needed for different product types.

  • Complete all paperwork and computer data entries accurately and timely.

  • Occasional use of microscope and gauges for quality checks.

  • Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.

  • Demonstrate high levels of good housekeeping practices.

  • Will require the need to work overtime, including weekends (Friday nights and/or Saturday nights).

  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

We we are looking for

  • Ability to frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs, & occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.

  • Required to stand, walk, bend, and twist for the shift along with arm, wrist, and hand movement to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.

  • Use of computers for data entry and to review safety data sheets, specifications and production operation information.

  • High School degree and/or equivalent and previous manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Possess mechanical aptitude for fast paced environment.

  • Reports to shift supervisor.

  • Noise level and working conditions are similar to those for a light industrial manufacturing/warehouse facility.

  • Work activities take place within a temperature and humidity controlled environment.
