Description $500 Retention Bonus!Server Type: Full-Time Shift: Various/open and weekend availability Wage: $16.5/hr starting + ferry passes/commuter fees covered Location: Avamere at Port Townsend - 1201 Hancock Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368 The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with preparing and serving meals to residents in a timely manner and assist the kitchen staff with cleaning at the end of each meal. Responsibilities Setup meal trays, food carts and the dining room Ensure that food, menus and supplies for the next meal are readily available Assist in daily cleaning duties, such as worktables and areas, refrigerators, etc. Retrieve dishes from the dining room, wash, and clean utensils, and return them to their proper storage areas Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous materials Assist Cooks in preparing meals Maintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age of older High School Diploma or equivalent if applicable Must have or obtain a Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment Experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred Must have knowledge of sanitation and food safety procedures and rules Ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination preferred, but not required Employee Perks Ferry passes/commuter fees covered Tuition assistance Access up to 50% of your net earned income before payday Mentorship opportunities Career Development Employee assistance program featuring counseling services, financial coaching, free legal services, and more Paid time off/sick leave (rolls over annually) 401K retirement plan with employer match Comprehensive benefits package with medical coverage, voluntary dental, vision, and life insurance, short-term disability, and AD&D coverage At Avamere Communities, we love to celebrate our diverse group of hardworking employees.
