We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist - Environment to join our team of dedicated EHS professionals based on-site in Port Melbourne. We are growing our team so this is an exciting opportunity to be supported by a fantastic team of professionals who will give you the opportunity to shine.

As a Boeing EHS Specialist - Environment reporting to the Senior EHS Manager, you will identify, interpret and implement statutory obligations for the environment, health and safety program. You will have responsibilities to design and implement environment compliance tools and conduct risk assessments and management system reviews. You will also act as a primary site interface with regulatory agencies, lead incident investigations and provide corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

The successful candidate will be flexible and willing to work on-site supporting morning or afternoon shift as required. In this role you will provide input to new business opportunities and process change projects to ensure compliance and inherently safe outcomes. We are looking for candidates with energy and enthusiasm who enjoy working collaboratively with their stakeholders to undertake a broad range of operations activities to support the broader environment health and safety team.

To be successful you will have :

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Health & Safety or a related discipline;

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an EHS professional in an operational environment;

  • An in depth understanding of Victorian Environmental and Health & Safety legislation;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the ISO14001 standard and certification process;

  • A proactive, problem solving, energetic, team focused approach; and

  • Strong organisation and reporting skills and the ability to meet target dates in a very fast paced environment.
