Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Assembler for our 2nd and 3rd shift. This is a full-time, long-term position manufacturing carpeted products for the automotive industry. Candidates must be willing to work overtime, consistently working 8 or 10-hour days and six days a week. Initial training will be on the 1st shift for one week. The role involves loading and unloading materials and assemblies into presses, performing inspections, and producing formed/trimmed products.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials and assemblies into the presses

  • Perform inspections to ensure product quality

  • Produce formed and trimmed carpeted products

  • Handle carpet assemblies weighing 10-15 pounds

  • Lift up to 50 pounds during material handling tasks

Essential Skills

  • Stable work history (at least 1-2 years at jobs)

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must be at least 18 years old

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing and production

  • Inspection and trimming skills

  • Loading and unloading experience

  • Assembly line experience

Work Environment

Our manufacturing facilities are equipped with 8-10 stamping cells, each with at least 4 presses, operating as high-production shops. There are about 70 production employees on each shift across three large facilities. The work environment can be loud, and employees will be standing at presses with material carts. Training is hands-on, with new hires paired with experienced line leaders and top production employees. Most tasks require about one day of training, and candidates can expect to learn 2-3 jobs in the first week. The dress code and attire will be suitable for a manufacturing environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Port Huron, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30000.00 - $30000.00/yr.

Candidates HAVE TO HAVE pay card or bay account- They do not do paper checks

Aerotek does quick orientation and provides pelzer new hire docs.

Ensures offered shift is fine

Give Drug test form for clinic

Makes sure Ids are current

Makes sure candidate has account numbers for bank or pay card.

Schedules candidate for orientation date with HP

Candidate has to have IDs, new hire packet, from from clinic that they took DT, and printed account numbers or they will be turned away from orientation.
