Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the cleanliness of all internal and external areas of the building, including walkways, entry areas, and parking lots

  • Applies proper cleaning techniques for vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, stripping and waxing, dusting, spot cleaning, scrubbing and disinfecting floor surfaces

  • Cleans and disinfects bathrooms

  • Restocks toilet paper, paper towels, soap, sanitizer, and other items as needed

  • Assists in litter pick up for all building exterior areas to include sidewalks, lawn areas, parking lot, and entryways

  • Disinfects kitchen surfaces, refrigerators, and microwaves

  • Washes windows, glass partitions and mirrors

  • Collects and removes trash from the interior & exterior of building

  • Dusts office equipment and furniture (desk, chairs, computers, copiers, printers, file cabinets), baseboards, wall hangings, manikins etc.

  • Maintains equipment such as vacuums and floor cleaners

  • Manages appropriate inventory of cleaning supply levels and communicates order needs

  • Responds to urgent situations, such as spills, that require quick action

    Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of two or more years of custodial, cleaning or janitorial experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

    Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

  • Knowledge of operating standard cleaning tools and use of cleaning chemicals according to safe work practices

  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require prolonged standing, repetitive bending, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

  • Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs.
