What You Do. Responds to requests to assist users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, smartphones, and other computer-related technologies while adhering to IT security protocols and guidelines to protect sensitive information. Provides updates, status, and completion information in Service Desk system and/or to users via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication Requires a basic understandingof the installation, support and performance of Windows 7 and 10 desktop operating systems, desktop software such as Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project) and Internet browsers in a networked environment Assist in inventory management for IT assets, including tracking and documenting equipment Youth Apprenticeship is a 450 - 600 hour position. 200 - 350 hours are completed in the summer and 250 hours are completed during the school year Your Education and Experience.
