Daikin Applied Senior Director of Technology Innovation in Plymouth, Minnesota
The Daikin Applied Americas Digital & IT organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Technology Innovation to drive strategic growth through innovation. This role is responsible for evaluating, deploying, and scaling advanced technologies and will drive innovation to support our solutions business transformation. The Senior Director of Technology Innovation will focus on emerging technology, AI, ML, and customer facing technology such as BMS and IoT. The Senior Director of Technology Innovation reports to the VP of Digital and IT. Location: Plymouth, MN Hybrid What you will do: Develop and implement technology strategies that align with the Daikin Applied Americas Digital Transformation Strategy, Corporate Strategy, and capabilities of its businesses Collaborate with business leaders and executive leadership to explore potential areas for improvement and establish strong justifications for implementing technology solutions Drive requirements analysis and definition for existing and new demands, partnering with [solutions architecture and appropriate product groups Prioritize and manage technology innovation demands and projects, allocating resources appropriately Lead and support major strategic technology programs to drive successful implementation and business value realization; develop business case, track progress, and report out on ROI Qualifications: BS/BA degree and related MS/MA degree required 20+ years of technology innovation experience, inclusive of technology architecture and engineering 15+ years of experience driving cloud infrastructure, data and AI/ML-powered innovation Deep understanding of emerging technology, AI, ML, and customer facing technology such as BMS and IoT Familiarity with digital technologies, processes, and solutions for sales, marketing, and commercial functions Experience delivering large scale digital projects from concept through delivery and operations Previous experience leading an organization through execution of large-scale technology innovation People management experience with building and motivating diverse teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with outstanding interpersonal skills Ability to lead multiple priorities and operate with poise and integrity in a high-profile, evolving environment Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Field CTO experience strongly preferred HVAC industry knowledge a plus Equal Opportunity Employment: It is the policy of Daikin Applied to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, marital status, membership or activity in a local commission, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
