R&D Principal Engineer - Medical Device NPI (Plymouth, MN)

As a Principal Engineer you will support new product development programs aimed at treating vascular diseases from our Plymouth, MN office.

Your role:

• Executing research and development activities from the concept stage of product development through Commercialization. In addition to project-related activities, you will also assist in the development of the Philips Image-Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) QMS design controls process.

• Leading and supporting detailed design and testing of development and commercialized products, ensuring that product designs meet specifications, and identifying and recommending solutions for complex technical issues.

• Conducting product idea development, prototyping, product specification development, test method development, test protocol and report writing.

You're the right fit if:

• You’ve acquired 10+ years of experience in New Product Introduction, R&D Engineering or Sustaining Engineering.

• Your skills include strong knowledge and experience with design control, statistical analysis, and technical writing skills.

• You’ve supported single use medical devices that integrate electrical components (IEC 60601).

• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related professional experience.

• You’re an excellent communicator, have strong documentation skills, have proven leadership experience and have a coaching/mentorship mindset.

• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
