Honeywell Electrician in Plymouth, Minnesota

As an Electrician here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring that electrical systems are safe, efficient, and in compliance with regulations. You will report directly to our Electrical Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Plymouth, Minnesota location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and safety of our operations by ensuring that electrical systems are properly installed and maintained. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues to minimize downtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hook up power, lighting and temperature controls (switch, lights, relays, etc.).

  • Determine appropriate components, wire size, protective covering and wiring layout.

  • Diagnose problems quickly to identify the causes of problems and determine effective courses of action to avoid extended periods of equipment downtime. Report serious trouble to Supervisor in a timely manner to expedite additional resources as needed.

  • Order supplies as required.

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

    YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minnesota Journeyman’s License.

  • Must understand OHMS Law, read blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.

  • Ability to work with advanced mathematics, all types of circuit drawings and test equipment.

  • Training and/or experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers , Variable Frequency Drives, Automation Controls and Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel)

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or related field

  • Experience with industrial electrical systems

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
