Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking a seasoned Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background to help train our current staff. This role involves troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on all process, packaging, and building equipment. Additionally, you will perform mechanical and electrical repairs and assist in the installation of new equipment and process equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on all process, packaging, and building equipment.

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and assist in the installation of new equipment and process equipment as needed.

• Report and repair safety and quality issues as discovered.

Essential Skills

• Experience with VFD's and gearboxes.

• Proficiency in electrical work up to 480V.

• Ability to repair various types of pumps.

• Experience with 3-phase and single-phase motors.

• Knowledge of PLCs (programming not required).

• Ability to bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or technician.

• 5+ years of experience performing maintenance in an industrial setting.

• 5+ years of experience with programmable logic controllers, circuit boards, AC/DC, VFD drivers, and control circuits.

• Proficiency with level sensors, flow sensors, pressure sensors, pumps, seals, bearings, solenoids, motors, motor starters, and relays.

• Welding, machining, fabricating, and plumbing skills are highly desirable.

Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position, working from 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday. The work environment is a food production facility that is climate controlled and comfortable. Employees are required to wear shoe covers, hair/beard nets, and lab coats (which are more comfortable and easy to move around in). Please note that the facility has a vinegar smell due to the products we produce.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $83200.00/yr.
