My client is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous professional to join their technical accounting and external reporting team. As Senior Accountant, External Reporting Analyst your primary responsibilities will encompass the assurance of accuracy and completion of our external financial reporting with the SEC, statutory reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and provision of technical accounting expertise on both existing and new sophisticated transactions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the quarterly close process with SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), drafting and supporting financial statements, such as the statement of cash flows, and footnotes for various areas reported in the document

  • Collaborate with international offices on accounting and statutory financial reporting matters in accordance with IFRS

  • Partner with Management to evaluate transactions and balances to ensure they are properly recorded in the financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS and SEC requirements, as applicable

  • Performing special projects and analysis as directed by finance management, including due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, new pronouncements and proving technical accounting guidance and implementation of new systems, policies or procedures

  • Determining and recommending necessary accounting structure and controls needed for initiatives

  • Contributing to the performance our annual impairment analysis for our goodwill and indefinite-lived intangible assets

  • Assisting with the year-end external consolidated audit and statutory audits

  • Assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance in the areas of control documentation and enforcement

Interested professionals must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing or financial reporting, public accounting experience, knowledge of SEC Reporting and working with publicly traded companies and hold their CPA or be a CPA candidate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing or financial reporting

• Hold a CPA designation or be CPA candidate

• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and perform financial statements consolidation

• Knowledge of SEC Reporting and working with publicly traded companies

• Familiarity with Statutory Financial Reporting

• Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS - International Financial Reporting Standards

• Experience with SAP and Workiva is preferred

• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

• Demonstrated team player with a positive attitude

• High level of integrity and confidentiality
