Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Engineer II will maintain the resiliency and operational aspects of the DISH Wireless network. Individual will analyze service and system issues, determine root-cause for failure and develop corrective actions. Corrective actions can range from configuration changes to developing new operational procedures. Individual will contribute to on-going process improvement reviews using Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics to eliminate errors, maximize hardware/software efficiencies and increase service up-time leading to an overall excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Provide technical troubleshooting expertise for escalated incidents.

  • Handle outages/service degradations, perform initial RCA, and coordinate final RCA with vendors and engineering teams.

  • Lead troubleshooting bridges with internal and vendor teams as needed.

  • Engage and escalate issues with Core Tier III/Engineering and vendors for critical, time-sensitive support.

  • Work with technical teams to document troubleshooting steps and improve processes.

  • Develop key metrics for performance monitoring and service assurance.

  • This position may provide on-call support on a rotational basis

Skills, Experience and Requirements

As a successful NOC Engineer II, you will have:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering

  • 4+ years of experience working within the Wireless industry on either the carrier or vendor side of the house

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong E2E knowledge of 5G Packet Core, IMS is preferred

  • Troubleshooting experience with network packet captures

  • Nokia, Mavenir, Oracle Core experience should be an advantage

  • Ability to analyze a high volume of technical data and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and time management skills

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
