We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Java Back-End Software Developer to join our BNY Mellon Engineering team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, or Lake Mary, FL, - HYBRID. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Design and develop scalable, back-end, data visualization and monitoring services using SaaS based technology. Work in an Agile methodology to provide expertise and share the best software development practices with the team. Collaborate with product owners, quality engineers and cross functional teams to provide solutions and solve design and architectural problems. Leverage existing open-source technology to meet business demands. Work on modernization of an accounting system that shapes the financial world. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Must have: Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 9-11 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial ervices industry is a plus. At least 4 years of proven enterprise application experience with Java or Python Good knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Swagger Experience with web technologies and architecture: micro-services distributed cloud services (preferably Azure) distributed data (Kafka) Rest APIs Working knowledge of relational and in-memory databases: PostgreSQL, Redis Nice to have: Investment industry knowledge Familiarity with Angular framework Hands-on experience with Snowflake CI/CD: Jenkins, Harness, Docker At BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
