Research Project Manager

The department of Critical Care Medicine (CCM) is seeking a Research Project Manager for projects related to clinical and translational studies involving health care delivery, health policy, and decision-making. Primary job duties include managing the coordination of project activities, implementing and monitoring internal project procedures, and ensuring project deadlines are met. This position involves the day-to-day management of single and multi-site research protocols from inception through project completion.

Job Summary

Manages all aspects of one or more projects for a research program and oversees all aspects of the project lifecycle. Provides leadership, technical direction, coordination, and expertise across projects. Analyzes progress and/or performance and prepares reports. Ensures compliance with budget, scope, timeline, and regulations. Assists with external communications.

Essential Functions

Ability to provide guidance to faculty regarding the administrative needs of their projects. Ability to independently develop and update project timelines based on information from all available sources. Ability to oversee grant expenditures and work with research administrators.

Physical Effort

Generally sedentary but may require the ability to move/traverse distances. No heavy lifting required.
