Reference #: 22325558 Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Mgr I - Contractor with our client in the financial industry. This is a hybrid contract position located in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas TX, Phoenix, AZ and Birmingham, AL.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves supporting the senior project manager and team members, with a particular focus on budget management, governance, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and gap analysis. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning and Execution: Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure project objectives are met. 2. Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of project budgets. Monitor and report on project financials, including forecasting and variance analysis. Ensure project expenditures are tracked accurately and are within the approved budget. 3. Governance and Compliance: Support adherence to project governance processes and standards. Ensure project documentation is complete and meets organizational requirements. Assist in conducting project audits and reviews to ensure compliance with established procedures. 4. SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle): Facilitate the application of SDLC processes and methodologies. Assist in coordinating software development activities, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Ensure that all SDLC stages are properly documented and followed. 5. Gap Analysis: Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current processes and desired outcomes. Work with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to address identified gaps. Assist in the development of improvement plans and track their implementation. 6. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders and team members. Prepare and present project status reports and updates. Address any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly. 7. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and issues. Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Monitor and report on risk management activities. 8. Industry Specific: Assist in projects related to mortgage and lending, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand specific requirements and challenges in mortgage and lending projects.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in project management, preferably in an IT environment. Basic understanding of project management methodologies and tools. Familiarity with budget management and financial tracking. Knowledge of governance processes and compliance standards. Understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).

Preferred Skills: Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP) is a plus. Experience with gap analysis and process improvement initiatives. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
