We are currently searching for an experienced New Patent Applications Specialist for our Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, King of Prussia, PA or Alexandria, VA location. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation and filing of new domestic patent applications through to completion. Specific Responsibilities of Position include: * Review client order letter to ascertain filing details and immediately respond to client's request for formal documents, if required. * Ensure all information in the order letter is correct and resolve any issues regarding the filing. * Docket and organize action items having specified filing dates to ensure no due date is overlooked or missed. * Prepare and file Provisional, National Phase, Non-Provisional and Plant applications along with Information Disclosure Statements and Preliminary Amendments with the USPTO. * Prepare and file responses to Missing Parts and Corrected Applications Papers. * Adhere to Docketing policies and procedures. * Keep abreast of changes affecting filing procedures and properly implement said changes. Skills and Requirements: * Minimum 3 years of experience filing all types of domestic patent applications. Strong familiarity with docketing procedures. * Excellent understanding of patent application filing procedures and USPTO rules. * E-filing experience through EFS-Web, EPAS and Patent Center, required. * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Possesses outstanding organizational skills and is detail oriented. * Strong computer skills, proficient typing skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Foundation IP, preferred. * Proficient knowledge and usage of document management systems (e.g. NetDocuments). * Ability to independently and efficiently prioritize workflow, and maintain an organized task schedule. * Ability to manage high volume and efficiently prioritize competing demands.
