Front of House Theatre Manager

 

The Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Pittsburgh seeks house managers for the 2024-25 rental and production season. Candidates will ensure audience safety and function of the theatre front of house operations. Duties include opening the theatre and lobby spaces, checking phone for messages, checking facilities for service and cleanliness, posting signage for the performance, communications with rental and departmental stage managers throughout the performance Preparing end of night reports.

 

Candidates must:

have above average customer service and communication skills

be available for evening and weekend shifts

be able to problem solve quickly to ensure that our patrons are satisfied and productions are able to start on time

Once hired, all employees must attend scheduled training sessions and adhere to set rules and regulations outlined in the House Management Manual.

A High School Diploma or GED is required.
