Executive Assistant
The successful candidate will serve as assistant to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Strategic Communications, Health Sciences, and the strategic communications team, supporting efforts to best position the University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences and to tout the excellence of the six schools that fall under its umbrella -- School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, School of Pharmacy, School of Public Health, School of Nursing and School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.

Job Summary
Serves as the primary support to executive level roles and/or departments and acts as liaison and ensures confidentiality of high-level, sensitive information. Manages office workflow. Assists with strategic planning processes and administrative goals and priorities. Prepares budgetary functions and plans special events.
Essential Functions
Scheduling, project management, including projects initiated through the team's project-management system. Purchasing, creating service agreements and ensuring payment for vendor services. This position also maintains the office calendar and provides general administrative support services to ensure the office runs efficiently.
Physical Effort
The ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
The ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
