Description

We are offering a part time employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role involves accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, bank reconciliations, and general bookkeeping duties. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment and will need to be proficient in bookkeeping tasks and use of software such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily financial transactions including expenses, income, and payroll

• Conduct detailed account reconciliation activities for all accounts

• Handle accounts payable and receivable duties, ensuring timely processing and accuracy

• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

• Utilize bookkeeping software, online spreadsheets, and databases to process financial information

• Perform month-end close processes efficiently and accurately

• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis

• Use QuickBooks for managing and processing financial data

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

This is a part time position with a flexible schedule! The part time bookkeeper should plan to work 20-25 hours per week, both in and out of their Pittsburgh office. Requirements

Only candidates meeting a majority of the following requirements will be considered:

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required

• Must have experience with accounts payable (AP)

• Familiarity with accounts receivable (AR) is needed

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations is a must

• Prior experience in bookkeeping is necessary

• Proficiency in data entry is essential

• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures is required

• Payroll processing skills are needed

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must
