Aircraft Services

Bring your enthusiasm and desire to learn, become a helper for the Aircraft Services team in Bell Piney Flats. In this position, under the supervision of an authorized repairman, you will grow your technical ability by assisting with a variety of aviation duties such as ground handling and flightline operations, preventative and routine maintenance, and preparation for application of anti-corrosive coatings. You will gain valuable hands-on experience while learning about aviation.

Bell Piney Flats is actively searching for an exceptional candidate to join its Aircraft Services Team in 2025-2026. As an Aircraft Services Co-Op you will participate in various activities and hands-on training to facilitate your learning. The position will work approximately 20 hours per week on a set schedule. Employees will be allowed to work up to 40 hours per week depending on the needs of the business and provided the additional hours do not conflict with any course requirements.

What you'll be doing as an Aircraft Services Co-Op

  • Gain valuable exposure to a variety of experiences in Aircraft Maintenance, Aircraft Customization, and Aircraft Paint.

  • Opportunity under supervision to perform tasks, such as washing and detailing aircraft for customer inspection/delivery, assist with moving aircraft, fuel and defuel aircraft.

  • Opportunity to assist with preventative and routine maintenance functions, preparing and staging aircraft for customizing work, moving loose equipment and aircraft cowlings, cleaning the aircraft hangars, and packing/wrapping aircraft for shipments.

  • Learn to assist with cleaning aircraft parts for paint, masking aircraft and aircraft, sanding and buffing, mixing and applying anti-corrosive coating, and mixing, applying, and smoothing cosmetic fillers.

Qualifications

What you need to be successful

  • Be actively enrolled in a degree program related to job duties through an accredited institution.

  • Interest in an Aviation career path.

  • Commitment to working approximately 20 hours per week on a set schedule.

  • Previous experience related to job duties may be a plus.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs above head and shoulders at various times throughout the day.

  • Ability to walk several miles per day and stand on feet for an entire shift.

  • Ability to operate vehicles.

  • Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.

  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.

  • Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.

  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.

  • Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) required for tasks.

  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment in various temperatures and weather conditions.

  • Ability to work in environment with exposure to various chemicals, dust, and odors.
