Provider Credentialing Specialist (remote)
This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Provider Credentialing Specialist with 1- 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS Excel and a background in Credentialing Compliance and Credentialing Application Processing. This is a work-from-home position with day shifts and no travel requirements. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing of credentialing applications and maintaining compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Manage and process credentialing applications efficiently to ensure timely completion
Utilize MS Excel to organize analyze and report data related to credentialing processes
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in credentialing
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credentialing activities
Provide support and guidance to applicants throughout the credentialing process
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of credentialing processes
Monitor and track the status of credentialing applications and provide regular updates to management
Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to credentialing
Participate in training and development programs to stay current with industry best practices
Contribute to the overall success of the team by meeting or exceeding performance targets
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED - Required
Proficiency in MS Excel is required
Experience in Credentialing Compliance and Credentialing Application Processing is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in credentialing
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until April 3, 2025.
The hourly rate for this position is between $16.00 – 16.50 per hour, depending on experience and other
qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and
subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
