Description We are offering a role in the Metal Fabrication industry based in Fife, Washington, United States, for a Sales Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in supporting our customers, exploring new product opportunities, and expanding our business within our existing customer base. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner

• Assist the field sales team with customer support

• Regularly connect with key account customers and existing client base via telephone

• Follow up with customers on quotations

• Prospect and qualify new business opportunities

• Generate price quotations for new and renewed sales opportunities following pricing strategies

• Understand and adhere to relevant material specifications and customer requirements

• Support purchasing to maintain ideal stock levels for customer long term contracts

• Participate in monthly sales meetings to report on previous month’s efforts

• Travel may be required for business needs Requirements • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook

• Skilled in using CRM systems for managing customer relationships

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software for managing business operations

• Ability to handle cash activities and manage closing processes

• Excellent complaint handling skills, able to effectively resolve customer issues

• Experience in dealing with C-Suite executives and understanding their requirements

• Understanding of the metal fabrication industry and its sales processes

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

• Proven track record in a similar sales assistant role would be advantageous

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

• Must have a customer-centric approach and a strong desire to meet and exceed customer expectations.
