Responsibilities Job Summary Plan, direct and coordinate all aspects related to management of equipment, supplies, and management of preference cards within assigned service line/s in the Operating Room (OR). Will be a key contact for the service line(s) and a liaison with surgeons, OR leadership team, scheduling department, equipment techs, and operating room assistants. Coordinate physician’s specific request(s) for the specialty(s); ensures availability of supplies and equipment at time of surgery. Serve as subject matter expert for equipment, supplies and physician preferences in assigned service line(s). Participate in capital planning process for service line(s). Responsible for and maintain expertise for specialty equipment. Ensure fiscally responsible utilization of resources to support HonorHealth strategic financial goals and Supply Chain initiatives within assigned service line(s). Facilitate availability of all needed resources for surgeries within assigned service line(s). Provide frontline inventory control and assist with ordering of supplies for assigned service line(s). Serves as a key resource for service line(s) to others, including physicians, supply chain team members, peers and OR staff. Analyze situations and identify opportunities to make improvements within assigned service line(s). Participate in improving the quality of patient care and/or work processes, including participation in unit/department based projects or teams. Anticipate potential problems and is proactive in an effort to promote a culture of safety. Identify and rank relative importance and urgency of potential problems allowing adequate time for important tasks and processes. Plan contingencies. Take appropriate, effective, and creative steps towards problem resolution. Seek to understand the root cause of the problem by asking relevant questions and gathering data. Follow up to ensure that the solutions instituted are working, are measured and documented as appropriate Support department and system-wide requirements for compliance with HonorHealth policies, regulatory and accreditation-related programs, and quality/performance improvement efforts within the organization and across the system. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 5 years Surgical Technician experience Required Licenses and Certifications Clinical Other\BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
