Are you a skilled leader with expertise in SCADA systems and distribution automation? Join us as a Supervisor, IT Distribution Maintenance – SCADA, where you'll oversee a team dedicated to maintaining and optimizing critical Distribution SCADA (DSCADA) systems that power the grid.
What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership & Operations Management: Lead and develop a team of SCADA analysts responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting SCADA devices, ensuring seamless integration with Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and other applications like YUKON and YFA.
SCADA System Maintenance & Support: Oversee the testing, commissioning, and lifecycle management of SCADA devices , including line devices, substation equipment, and post-breaker cutover systems .
Strategic Workforce Planning & Development: Manage team resources effectively, focusing on skill development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to support evolving grid technology needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to enhance SCADA system performance , streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with IT guidelines and architecture standards .

Minimum Requirements
Supervisor Information Technology Distribution Maintenance - SCADA
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field from
PLUS eight (8) years of related experience with Distribution line of business applications in the area of SCADA.
In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a combination of education and experience equaling 12 years is required.
Demonstrated leadership/lead skills required.
Demonstrated experience in project management.
Experience in information systems methodologies, systems guidelines and architectures, and technologies.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications
Prior supervisory experience. High quality oral, written and presentation communication skills, interpersonal and people management skills.
Experience in support of information systems applications, distributed environments, network architecture and sub-systems.
Understanding of the company's organizational and operating structure.
Familiarity with business units supported by IT and the services they deliver.
Thorough understanding of IT process, procedures and deliverables.
Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills.
Major Accountabilities
1) Ensures 24/7 client support for SCADA systems consistent with business partner agreements and expectations. Ensures preferred SCADA technical architecture and business requirements are balanced to provide effective information and communication systems solutions, sound architecture, and cross-system integration objectives.
2) Leads the team in the resolution of technical issues by identifying, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.
3) Manages work group costs within approved budget. Continually works to improve department work processes.
4) Supports unit level strategic plans that align with corporate and Information Technology plans. Supports client planning process and prioritization for systems technology implementation. Assigns, directs, facilitates, reviews and approves unit work activities to ensure effectiveness and productivity of the work unit. Maintains knowledge and understanding of business processes. Leads work activities to meet client expectations.
5) Develops and retains a highly skilled technical team by implementing performance management program and ensuring staff has the technical and business skills to support the objectives of the organization. Develops team and guides their efforts to continually improve the delivery of system solutions. Provides feedback, coaching and training and development opportunities to create a high performing team.
