Senior SRE / Onsite in Phoenix

An enterprise financial company located in North Phoenix, Arizona is currently looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to add to their growing team. The team this role will be joining is one of the primary data producing groups at the org. This individual will serve as a champion for releases, overseeing the deployment of new code. The primary focus of this role is to facilitate the transition of code into production. They have already established CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins, but they will create tailored pipelines for new machine learning and AI products when necessary.

The migration from on-premises to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is also underway. This role will heavily involve containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Additionally, there is a component of managing infrastructure incidents. The individual in this role will be responsible for production support and problem resolution, ensuring timely submission of recovery plans. Currently, Splunk and the ELK stack are utilized for monitoring purposes.

The role will have a hybrid work model with 3 days on site required each week.

Contract Duration: 6 – 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or cloud experience

• Experience working with at least one major cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP preferred)

• Experience managing and creating CI/CD pipelines

• Strong scripting experience

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes container orchestration

• Experience working with a multitude of observability tools such as Splunk, ELK stack, New Relic, Nagios, etc.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Software engineering background is a big plus

• GCP specific experience
