Job Title: Foreman

Job Description

The Pipefitter will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related portions including metal, plastic, ceramic, and composition materials. You will also install plumbing systems, adhere to all safety policies, and pass a test in reference to safe operation in trenches. You must have knowledge of tools and equipment necessary to perform these tasks and be trained in trenching and pipe laying techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and replace pipe systems

  • Work with metal, plastic, ceramic, and composition materials

  • Install plumbing systems

  • Adhere to all safety policies

  • Pass a test on safe operation in trenches

  • Bend, cut, and lay pipes

  • Use chop saws and other necessary tools

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a pipe layer

  • Experience with ductile iron

  • Experience with CPVC

  • Experience with water & sewer mains

  • Knowledge of trenching and pipe laying techniques

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Rigging

  • Pipe fitting

  • Cutting, assembling, and installing pipes

  • Repairing malfunctions

  • Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality

  • Grading

  • Excavation

  • Concrete

  • Compaction

Work Environment

You will be working outdoors in a water treatment facility, performing all new construction and renovation/shutdown work on existing WTF. The work will be carried out in multiple phases, with crews of 7 people and multiple crews on-site. You will report to different job sites in Phoenix, AZ, and Gilbert/East Mesa locations. The work is on the 1st shift, with 8 hours per day starting at 6 am, and no weekends or overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
