Labcorp Maintenance Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona

We are growing and expanding the staff that supports our Laboratory. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing general maintenance labor for the repair and upkeep of the Phoenix facility and coordinating the work of relevant vendors.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am-6:30pm

Compensation: $24 but negotiable based on experience.

Job Duties:

  • One of the Point of contact to coordinate the work of third-party vendors

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Perform minor repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, swamp coolers, and carpentry needs and perform painting tasks as needed. This includes equipment setup and repairs and the maintenance and repairs of some laboratory equipment throughout the facility as needed.

  • Move furniture, receive deliveries of equipment, stock, etc. Build tables and lab benches as needed from existing equipment

  • Operation of general power tools and equipment needed to maintain facility.

  • Perform electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance throughout facility.

Requirements:

  • Administrative: Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, time management, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.

  • Machine: Mechanical equipment, personal computer.

  • Physical Demands: Extensive physical effort may be required for this position. Must comply with applicable safety procedures. Speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing-remaining on one's feet in an upright position, sitting-remaining in the normal seated position, handling-seizing, holding, grasping, latter use including, working under tables and desks. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

  • Vision Requirements: Able to pass standardized color vision test, as required by test performed.

  • License/Certification/Education: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/3-4 years of experience and a Valid Drivers License.

  • Knowledge : HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building management systems, project management, inventory preferred but not required.
