PDS Tech is looking for an Engineering Support Specialist to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the successful licensing of legacy products to external companies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a technical background and experience in tech writing and blueprint reading to make a significant impact.

Role & Impact

In this role, you will be responsible for accessing various secure server locations, including Teamcenter, Tech Pubs, and other records systems, to locate and accumulate Product Certification records for legacy products. These products are being offered for license to external companies, and your task will be to compare the available records with license offerings to ensure compliance with FAA Technical Standard Orders (TSOs). Your attention to detail and ability to analyze engineering blueprints will be critical in making sure all the information aligns perfectly for licensing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Access multiple secure servers including Teamcenter, Tech Pubs, and other records systems to gather Product Certification records for legacy products.

  • Utilize microfiche and paper records as part of the process to locate product information.

  • Compare and analyze records to identify any differences between the potential License part numbers and FAA TSOs for those part numbers.

  • Collaborate with external companies to facilitate licensing discussions based on the findings from your comparisons.

  • Tech Writing experience desired to help document processes and findings as needed.

  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints to verify product compliance and certification requirements.

  • Organize and maintain detailed records in a clear and structured manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree (AA) or higher

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints

  • Tech writing experience is highly desired

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with both digital and paper-based records

  • Ability to work with multiple systems and databases (e.g., Teamcenter, Tech Pubs)

Pay Details: $50.00 per hour
