Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Fall 2024 semester (09/03/2024 - 12/15/2024)
Course: Cinema Directing
This course utilizes techniques of directing, sound editing, lighting, and advanced editing programs. Several practical and written exercises lead to a short digital production. Students spend time working with actors in front of the camera as well as composing shots to convey a story visually.
What You Will Do:
Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies
Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends
Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
What You Will Bring:
Master or Fine Arts OR
Master of Arts OR
Other related terminal degree with coursework in Directing AND
2 years or more university instruction
Portfolio will be requested for review of application documents
