AON Time Away & Life Solutions Specialist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Aon is looking for an experienced professional to join our growing Time Away & Life Solutions (TALS) Consulting Practice.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our offices in the United States.

What the day will look like

As a Consultant within the Time Away & Life Solutions (TALS) Consulting Practice, you will assist with driving strategy for our largest clients. You will be delivering for clients on either an ongoing basis in an Account Management model or on an as needed basis for clients who pay us for a particular project.

  • Support RFP’s implementations for all new clients

  • Work on PTO and sick leave analysis and design recommendations

  • Assist in developing the future strategic direction of Time Away and Life Solutions

  • Participate in other design team activities including, but not limited to:

  • Coordination between Structured Portfolio Solutions and other Time Away and Life Solutions areas

  • Carrier relationship activities

  • Development and review of all Time Away and Life Solutions related employee communications and benefit highlight sheets

  • Innovation and product development

With the evolving need for leave industry there is constant need for strategy development and cost modeling to ensure that clients remain compliant and competitive in the marketplace. This team is comprised of colleagues with different backgrounds and skillsets that collaborate together to deliver for our clients.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    The candidate should have technical skills with regards to PTO, disability, life insurance, FMLA and municipal/state regulated leaves, ADA Stay and Return to Work program and administration designs. In this role, this individual will support projects and client relationships with demonstrated project management skills.

  • Self-motivator with a high level of analytical thinking and the ability to make decisions based on sound business logic

  • Strong project management skills, with ability to independently own projects

  • Strong organization skills and ability to managed detailed analyses

  • Previous experience building vendor relationships, especially with Time Away, Life, and Disability national carriers

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Health, Life and Variable Annuities License preferred

  • Strong work ethic, strong project manager skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to own and independently manage projects, excellent organizational skills, experience negotiating with vendor partners, investigation and research, and excellent communication skills

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ consulting or relevant Corporate Benefits experience or 2 years of carrier life and disability experience, preferably with an underwriting background

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $50,000 - $70,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Philadelphia, PA. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
