This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the digital evolution of a enterprise company News Group.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will partner with the Product, Operations, Design, and Editorial teams to bring News Digital content to life. You will be a significant influence on our product roadmap, bringing a technical and strategic perspective. You will work alongside fellow inspired developers in a fast-paced environment using technologies like Swift and Objective C to help shape the future of digital news. Skills and Requirements

Demonstrated ability in developing complex, high-traffic iOS and/or Android applications

A minimum of 5 years hands-on professional development experience with Swift, Objective-C (they are transitioning some Objective-C)

Need to have experience with Unit testing and UI Testing XCUI Testing

Experience with and solid understanding of multithreaded programming and API layer programming

Experience working on a significant consumer app that is currently available in marketplace

Demonstrated experience developing applications leveraging XML/JSON

Solid understanding of data models and data access architecture and optimization

Solid understanding of multi-tier web architectures, and OO design patterns and concepts

Solid understanding of server-side software, scalability, performance, and reliability

Solid understanding of HTTP and REST-style web services

Experience with unit test frameworks and continuous integration systems

Ability to collaborate in a small, productive development team as well as ability to work independently

Expert in software engineering best practices

Experience building mobile SDK's

Experience with agile software development practice, scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc. null
