Robert Half Media Relations, Senior Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a Media Relations, Senior Manager in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The primary role will be to manage media relations and coordinate with various stakeholders including faculty and media outlets. This role also involves positioning faculty as spokespeople in news reports related to the healthcare industry. The position requires an onsite presence with occasional flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain relationships with faculty, media outlets, and partner organizations.

• Coordinate and manage media pitching efforts to ensure optimal exposure.

• Position faculty as the primary spokespeople in news reports surrounding healthcare and social assistance.

• Be responsible for all media events, including camera escorts.

• Utilize platforms like Cision or similar for media coordination and management.

• Foster brand awareness through strategic campaign planning.

• Manage content on various platforms using Content Management System (CMS).

• Leverage digital media to enhance public interest in our healthcare initiatives.

• Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro and Constant Contact to support media relations activities.

• Stay updated on news media trends and adapt strategies accordingly. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a media relations role, preferably within the healthcare industry

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Constant Contact

• Experience with Content Management System (CMS)

• Proven track record in enhancing brand awareness through strategic media outreach

• Experience in campaign planning and execution, both digital and traditional

• Exceptional skills in media pitching and cultivating relationships with news media outlets

• Experience in coaching and managing spokespeople for public appearances

• Ability to advocate for public interest issues, specifically related to the healthcare industry

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred. Innovation starts with people.®
