WORK SHIFTDAY (United States of America)

SUMMARY OF DUTIESThis position maintains supply and support for various product lines through purchase orders.  Also supports Global Sourcing by managing procurement duties within the commodity to which he/she is assigned for cost savings initiatives.  The position routinely resolves transactional challenges found within the supply chain both at the company and at supplier(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

Prepares purchase orders through Oracle system and obtains the appropriate approvals.

Interacts with suppliers to schedule on-time delivery, resolves shipping & invoice errors. Workswith the QA teams and Engineering as required for disposition of non-conforming materials.

Attends relevant production, planning, and engineering meetings to support production lines.

Notifies commodity leads of all price changes. Works with the Global Sourcing team to implementnew pricing on PO's.

When invited, meets with suppliers and manufacturers' representatives to maintain a goodworking relationship.

Communicates with suppliers regarding forecast, blanket PO's, and contracts.

Submits Supplier Change Notices & Assessment Summary forms for all product changenotifications.

Ggathers data from company resources to support RFQ conducted by Global Sourcing Team

Monitors inventory levels to maintain optimal company targets.

Regularly runs reports on Safety Stock levels, Past Due Orders, PO confirmations, InventoryReserve, Hot Purchasing Report, and all others as required.

Performs other tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or experience equivalent to related Bachelor's degree. A minimum of two (2) years of purchasing experience. Knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures. Basic knowledge of negotiation process and how to communicate professionally with suppliers. Good understanding of business fundamentals: profitability, growth, capacity, financialstatements, manufacturing capabilities. Demonstrated computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and able to adapt to other systemdatabases and other applicable software programs.
