DUTIES: Research, design, plan, develop, and evaluate new, advanced technologies by translating customer requirements or strategic business objectives into final product designs; build telecommunications networks using 3GPP (third generation partner project), TM Forum (TMF), and DOCSIS (​Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) standards; develop, maintain and automate Operational Support Systems (OSS) platform software, interface, and test strategies using standardized and open API layers, microservice-based loosely coupled interfaces, data driven and intelligent configuration, and fault and performance management powered by machine learning and AI; build, monitor, measure, troubleshoot, control, and automate 5G network and support platforms; perform inventory management using telecommunication inventory management systems; develop automation requirements and interface API requirements; work with other members of cross-functional teams, joint ventures, third party vendors and Company's Product Managers and Marketing teams to deliver quality products, in a timely fashion, that meet defined requirements; participate in the Company product lifecycle process, and contribute to and/or create product and technical requirements, detailed design documents including transaction, capacity and bandwidth models, systems definitions, and operational procedures as part of this process; collect user requirements and use cases; develop automation requirements to satisfy use cases; define automation requirements and logic, machine interfaces, and human interfaces that provide data, notifications, triggers, and control of diverse applications within the OSS platform; provide guidance and accept accountability for the performance and reliability of various cross-platform applications and services, and ensure that system failures are restored in a timely manner; recommend courses of action, technology, technical solutions, long term vision, and vision of what needs to happen to grow the Company; develop state-of-the art solutions to maximize on technology and business applications; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience building telecommunications networks using 3GPP and TMF standards; developing, maintaining, and automating Operational Support Systems (OSS) platform software, interface, and test strategies using leading vendor applications such as Ciena, Blueplanet, Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia, Amdocs, NetScout, Oracle, HP, ServiceNow, or Netcracker in the OSS space (RF Planning, Fault Management, Configuration Management, Call Tracing, Performance Management, Inventory, Topology); of which two (2) years of experience include performing inventory management; and developing automation requirements and interface API requirements utilizing and conforming to 5G Mobile Packet Core architecture, 4G or 5G OSS architecture, and internet architecture including IP networks, IP routing, and IP security principles.
