Description

Our reputable client is seeking a CFO to join the company. The ideal CFO will have excellent analytical, strategic-planning, operational and communication skills, including an ability to work well with the CEO, board members and other senior executives. Candidates with a combination of industry and public accounting knowledge are preferred. This is the perfect role for an experience CFO looking for a challenging role at an established company.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and maintain financial records, including FAS91, gains on sales, and commission accruals for loans sold within the month.

  • Handle the accrual for SRP on sold loans and determine the allowance for credit losses.

  • Supervise the accounting system for non-accrual loans and execute current and deferred tax accrual calculations and entries.

  • Assess the market values of investment securities and draft an impairment memo for the Board.

  • Compile reports for the board, executive summaries, and bank-level budget variance analyses.

  • Participate in board and committee meetings as required.

  • Organize internal department audits and manage the Bank's external audits and examinations.

  • Administer and issue new corporate credit cards as necessary and verify the accuracy of the FHLB annual collateral certification form.

  • Develop and revise the department's policies and procedures.

  • Assemble the data file and materials required for proxy mailings.

    Requirements

The ideal CFO candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. MBA and/or CPA preferred.

Other requirements for the CFO position include and are not limited to:

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Experience with financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal).

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, related financial reporting standards, including inventory, lease accounting, revenue recognition standards, financial statements and budgeting.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, monthly closure and reporting).

  • Demonstrated strong team leadership and development skills.
