Job Summary The Assistant Director of Annual Stewardship creates and manages stewardship of annual giving donors and engaged alumni, ensuring that stewardship is a strategic component of every solicitation plan and that every donor to Drexel University is recognized appropriately. They plan outreach, draft content across vehicles, analyze data, run programs, and establish ongoing relationships with colleagues across campus to further annual engagement efforts at the University. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving within the central Office of Institutional Advancement, the Assistant Director ensures the impacts of giving and other important forms of engagement with Drexel are communicated regularly and widely, as well as works with campus partners to develop creative ways to steward constituents who support specific funds and initiatives. Essential Functions Coordinate with colleagues to build recognition and special experiences into existing programming. Ensure the impacts of giving, volunteerism and other strategic engagement are communicated regularly and broadly to all constituents. Maintain stewardship calendar for annual engagement and manage periodic updates (print and digital) to standard stewardship collateral including acknowledgment and tribute letters, receipts, giving form landing pages and confirmation emails. Plan and execute specialized stewardship (outreach, experiences) to demonstrate impact and encourage ongoing/increased giving, such as: Recognizing "gifts of note" (1st time engagement, returning after lapse, upgrade, expansion, multi-year/consistency) Recognition at calendar and fiscal year end Micro-philanthropy campaign impacts Unrestricted giving impacts Work closely with Institutional Advancement colleagues to ensure every donor receives timely, accurate and coordinated receipt and acknowledgment. Manage video stewardship platform. In collaboration with the Assistant Director of Presidential Correspondence and Acknowledgments and the Director of Donor Relations, document, maintain and communicate best practices and standards of stewardship for annual giving donors. Required Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.) Minimum of 2 years of related experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong data management skills, including Excel. Highly detailed-oriented and well-organized with proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and to track activities. A proven natural affinity toward collaboration. Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a large, complex institutional setting. Experience using Access or a similar database management system. Prior experience with donor database software, such as Advance. Location Hybrid: Remote/University City, Philadelphia PA Additional Information This p sition is classified as Exempt, grade J. Compensation for this grade ranges from $47,490 - $71,230 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
