Friendship Centers of Emmet County Shuttle Bus Driver - Part-Time in Petoskey, Michigan
Friendship Centers of Emmet County is seeking a friendly and responsible bus driver to operate a lift-equipped van or light-duty cutaway bus throughout Emmet County. Communicate with dispatcher and home base using radio equipment. Our bus riders are seniors or handicapped individuals who are given assistance with packages. Operate lifts, helping those with mobility issues board and disembark safely. Treat clients in courteous and professional manner. Comply with all traffic regulations. Drive safely in all weather and road conditions. Collect and record bus fares. Inspect vehicles prior to use daily and perform interior bus sanitizing. Assist in sanitizing the durable medical equipment that is loaned out to seniors.
This is a part-time position working Monday through Friday from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. No night, weekend or holiday work required! We offer competitive pay, paid time off, and retirement savings plan with employer match.
High school diploma or GED required. Must have chauffeur's license at a minimum; commercial driver's license is also acceptable, but not required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must pass pre-employment drug test. Subject to other drug-testing procedures throughout employment. Must pass criminal background check, and federal and state sex offender background checks.
